Any references to procedures that work with the Fire TV box should also work with the stick as of V2. Unfortunately, from what I read, the original Fire stick's USB port cannot be used for anything other than a power source, so this only applies to V2. Getting it to work perfectly with all the Fire TV apps, including those that have to be side loaded, can be a challenge, but it can be done. But if you have the new V2 Fire stick, you can use the Flirc USB to program your IR remote to control it, and connect it with an OTG dongle. I can't speak for that particular OTG dongle he links, as I purchased a different but similar one. It has taken a lot of digging and reading of other threads here at Flirc to verify, some of them going back two years, but the statement made by Dave_O a few posts up is true. I was unable to find any definitive answer as to whether the Flirc works the Fire TV stick or not. If other peripherals start to make use of Bluetooth remotes it might be necessary to bite that bullet, but not yet. Posted J(edited) Hi, I just bought a new v2 Flirc and was trying to set it up to work with my harmony 650 to control my fire tv stick. I have the original Harmony One and I was loath to give it up as, IMHO, none of its successors has duplicated the button placement, touch screen placement, and usability of that unit. From the main menu, go to Settings > Systems > Sleep. With well over 2000 views, there is apparently a lot of interest in this topic. Obviously no one wants to invest in another $300.00 remote control with a unifying "hub" if they don't have to. Of course you can always do it the long way. Check the links posted above or maybe search/ask on the FLIRC forums. There may be some way to map that to a Harmony remote button using FLIRC, but I have no experience with this. I know that if you have a standard keyboard plugged into the AFTV that has a Sleep/Shutdown button (like many Logitech keyboard), then that works and puts it to sleep. If there was such a function, then you could map that to the Harmony remote, but I don't believe there is. The closest thing is putting it to sleep, but to achieve that, there needs to be a built in AFTV remote function for it (for example, force restart is done by holding Play and OK button together for 5 seconds). I am trying to set up flirc to work with the amazon fire tv but it doesn't seem to be working, some buttons seem to work while others do not when I use the Filrc - Amazon Fire TV profile in the Harmony 650. I'm not sure I fully understand that issue you're having, but either way, there is no shutdown option for the Fire TV that I am aware of, short of unplugging it. 5) Plug the Flirc into the PC and set up the FireTV profile first (in the Flirc GUI). I have bought a FLIRC Fire TV dongle, and mostly things are working out. I obviously failed in my research as I didn't realise that the Fire TV used a Bluetooth remote. I was talking specifically about the Harmony Ultimate being compatible (no need for FLIRC for basic navigation). Hi, I have recently replaced my old TV with an Amazon Fire TV Series 4.
